Nobody From Ipanema

What a splendid way to forget about my fourth day on the job where I'm at high risk of getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. That's right, I don't remember spending this much time formatting a word doc EVER! I'll be having nightmares involving click sounds in a few minutes...but, back to my joyful evening.

Prepared for a picnic with salad and root beer, I met up with Eric after work. We crashed Union Square where Nobody From Ipanema was playing up the SF JazzFest and hosting a free open-air concert. As the pictures tell, it was a marvelous time, and I wound up dancing and crying out of happiness. The lyrics evoked so many memories, and the rhythms triggered all the love I have for the Brazilian culture. It's probably a sin somewhere to feel the joy and happiness I experienced in my Shamrock's company while listening to batucadas and songs about Yemanja (I've attached a pic of her too, and ain't she pretty?)

Thank you Nobody From Ipanema, or, "muito obrigada" as we say in Brazil! Don't be surprised to find more reviews on this band here in the future because we'll continue to track 'em down around town. Though, for now, good night and sleep tight ;-) And btw, happy Friday in advance. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
